The Friends are committed to the welfare, improvement, and appreciation of the Saratoga Library.

Our efforts are made possible by the hard work of our volunteers and donors like you.

The most important thing the Friends do is provide a grant to the Saratoga Library of $150,000 annually to support programs and purchase new materials for their collections.

WHAT WE FUND

  • Collections funds new and best selling books to expand our offering for adults, teens, and children.

  • Programs support all kinds of activities at the library, including adult literacy programs, childrens reading programs, social media workshops, financial planning programs, and Lego club

  • Librarian hours support the library in many ways, including providing longer opening hours

HOW WE RAISE MONEY

  • We raise the money to provide this support primarily in 2 ways, through the generous support of our members and sales of donated books at our Book-Go-Round:

  • In addition to our Book-Go-Round, which is open daily, our Retail Operations income includes money raised at our quarterly Paperback Sales, and sales at the Café Store which is located in the Saratoga Library foyer.
